Austrian Curt Cake "Topfenstrudel"

Ingredients

  • 6 pieces eggs
  • 1000 gramm lean curt (10% fat)
  • 1 tbsp semolina
  • 350 gramm sugar
  • 1 piece Lemon peel
  • 250 gramm butter
  • 1 pack vanilla pudding powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 8 pieces egg white
  • 170 gramm sugar
  • puff pastry

Instructions

  • Separate the egg white from the yolk and beat to a snow.
  • Mix the sugar, butter and yolk until creamy. Then stir in the semolina, grated lemon zest, vanilla pudding powder and salt.
  • Then pull the snow under.
  • In the meantime, preheat the oven.
  • Line a rectangular cake pan with puff pastry. Fill in the entire mass.
  • Another layer of puff pastry at the top. Brush this with a mixed egg.
  • Place in the oven and bake at 150 degrees for 1 hour.
